do you have your bread and milk…
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010they’re predicting snow for ATL tomorrow that means there will be a run on the grocery stores tonight for bread and milk. it is the weirdest thing but it happens every time – tv station announces probability of snow or ice and the shelves of grocery stores get emptied quick. now is bread and milk all we eat and drink in GA when it snows? oh yeah another must item is toilet paper. i guarantee you that tonight the shelves will be bare of these three items. stock up Walmart the snow’s acoming.
me, i like soup and crackers/cornbread with my cold days and i think we’ve got plenty of toilet paper. so i think i’m set for the bad weather ahead.
another thing about weather here is that it rarely ever happens. not that weather doesn’t happen but if weather men in ATL were prophets they would have been stoned long ago for their predictions.
is there a point to all of this? probably a stretch but what are your safety nets when you’re in a panic? what tools, person, or crutch do you grab for when it begins to fall down around you. we all have them. do you know yours? you gotta know your crutch before you rid yourself.
church planter, pastor what is it you reach for in a panic? who do you call? where do you run? i hope first you get to your knees, then the bible, then wise counsel. but here’s some wise advise i’ve learned in my many years on earth and in ministry – make sure there’s a need before you panic, the weatherman in ATL has a lousy record. don’t create a panic when there is no need for one.
